Sex , Drugs and Relationships Education Policy
Bailey's Court Primary School believes that sex and relationship education in this school will be developmental and a foundation for future work in the secondary school.
Sex and relationship education in this school will contribute to the requirement of the Education Reform Act 1988 that the school curriculum should be one which:
· Promotes the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental, and physical development of pupils at the school and of society; and
· Prepare such pupils for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life.
The school will work towards this aim in partnership with parents.
The aim of the sex and relationship education policy is to clarify the content and the manner in which sex and relationship education is delivered in this school.
