22 Apr 2006 - Girls' Football Festival
GIRLS' FOOTBALL FESTIVAL
On Saturday the 22nd of April, 16 girls from years 5 and 6 took part in the Festival of Youth Sports at Yate Outdoor sports Complex.
They battled against 11 schools in girls' football and, although they didn't win all of their games, they came back with the trophy for fair play.
There were 2 strong teams who played 6-a-side and had 2 subs each. The theme was Saint George's Day so before the festival began all the schools paraded around an oval track chanting their school's name and waving banners and signs - Bailey's Court were by far the loudest!
Finally, all the girls who took part would like to thank Miss Goold for all her support and top tips and all the parents for shouting their loudest and doing a good job of embarrassing us!
